Brodies Announces New Recruits

Brodies welcomes two new recruits to further develop its services to clients in banking, agricultural and estates work.

Emma Noble, a regulatory banking specialist, joins Brodies as Assistant Solicitor from Dundas & Wilson. Emma joins following a five-year career in banking and financial regulations, including a two-year secondment at RBS. She joins a four-strong team charged with handling complex Financial Services Authority on behalf of insurance, life and pensions clients.

Also joining the firm is Robin Priestley as Associate in the Property Department dedicated to the agriculture and estates team and further boosting the team which was recently ranked number one in Scotland by Chambers and Partners. Priestley's experience on various transport projects will also play a leading role in advice relating to the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine, Airdrie-Bathgate and Waverley Railway projects for which Brodies are lead advisers. Priestley joins Brodies from Anderson Strathern where he was an Associate.

Bill Drummond, Managing Partner of Brodies, welcomed the appointments. He commented: "Both Emma and Robin bring the necessary experience and enthusiasm required to service our clients in the fast changing areas of banking regulations and property related work. We are looking forward to welcoming them on board."

Brodies continues to make a sweeping round of lateral hires in an effort to further expand services to clients and support new business wins. The news follows the announcements earlier this month on the appointment of Andrew Rigby as Partner in Outsourcing and Technology from Addleshaw Goddard and the recruitment of two partners from DLA, Peter Kelly and Colin Macintosh, as banking and corporate recovery specialists respectively.
