Reading-based building supplies company Wolseley PLC has spent £84 million on the acquisition of five companies.
Four of the companies are US-based, with deals being struck for Wolseley to take over Architectural Building Supply Company, Jacobi Hardware, KBC Construction, and the inventory of JD's Wholesale Plumbing & Supply.
In addition, the firm has also snapped up French company Sofiparts SAS.
Wolseley expect the five bolt-on acquisitions to add around £109 million in total revenue in a full year.
