CIRIA - the UK's leading member-based research and information organisation dedicated to improvement in the construction industry - has announced that it will present a series of environmentally-themed technical seminars, hosted at the UK's largest civil engineering exhibition, Civils 2007.
These free events will be held on 20 November 2007 in a purpose-built seminar theatre, within the exhibition hall at Earls Court 2.
Sustainable asset management for transport infrastructure (speaker: Philip Charles, CIRIA) will reveal innovative asset management techniques used to meet modern-day sustainability challenges; Managing alien invasive plants and animals on development and infrastructure projects (speaker: Steven Wheeler, CIRIA) will discuss the management and control methods used to control the impact of invasive and alien species on development; and the sustainable management of ground gasses (speaker: Joanne Kwan, CIRIA) will offer better understanding of dealing with different types of ground gases.
