Network VEKA members are just weeks away from reaching their biggest milestone ever – £500 million of accumulated sales.
Meanwhile, the organisation has also announced it will run a third burst of TV advertising throughout the autumn.
The milestone comes from more than 125,000 installations around Britain and Ireland since the organisation was founded less than 12 years ago.
Members took nearly five years to reach the first £100 million sales, back in 2001, but last year, Network VEKA announced it had bucked the industry slowdown by adding its fourth £100 million in a record 18 months. Now members are forecast to beat even that in reaching the half a billion mark.
Managing Director John Ogilvie says the organisation is proving even more vital to the industry in the tough market than it was in the better times.
He stated: "Members not only enjoy an Average Installation Value around 50% higher than the industry norm. But it is also clear that, in today’s market, the casualty rate among unaffiliated operators is significantly higher than among members."
