Timber window manufacturer Jeld-Wen has been awarded International Safety Awards at four of its manufacturing sites from the British Safety Council (BSC).
The BSC awarded JELD-WEN’s sites in Melton Mowbray (frames and stairs), Sheffield and Lowestoft the accreditation, which recognises companies with below average accident rates and robust health & safety policies. Employees from all four sites joined top names in the health and safety industry to receive the award at a special ceremony held at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel.
Keith Claydon, Group Health & Safety Facilitator for JELD-WEN, said: "We are delighted to receive these prestigious awards, which are testament to the hard work of our staff in developing a health & safety culture across our manufacturing sites. We are committed to a robust health & safety policy throughout our business and recognise how important this is to minimise risks, reduce accidents and ensure a more secure working environment for all concerned."
