Morgan Sindall Launches New Professional Design Business

Morgan Sindall has launched an integrated professional design and project management business.

The formation of Morgan Professional Services (MPS), follows the acquisition of AMEC’s national construction, civil engineering and design business, Design & Project Services (DPS) in July.

MPS, which has offices in Glasgow, will incorporate the design and engineering capability of the former DPS business and will provide professional design, construction management and project management services.

Headquartered in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, MPS will be supported by four UK regional offices in London, Glasgow, Warrington (Birchwood) and Swynnerton with international offices in Basel, Lyon and Shanghai.

The business will be headed up by Managing Director, Martin Broome, DPS’ former Commercial Director. Mr Broome has held a number of senior positions in the construction industry in both the UK and abroad, and his previous role was Commercial Director for Morgan Est.

Mr Broome said: “MPS’ design and project management expertise will significantly enhance the service offerings of the group’s construction and infrastructure services divisions, enabling both Morgan Ashurst and Morgan Est to carry out more complex projects.

“This is an exciting time for everyone involved and we aim to establish MPS as the leading provider of integrated design, engineering and project management services in the market, and we are well-positioned to achieve this.”

MPS has a well-established business and customer base in the UK, Europe and China.

Customers include Airbus, AstraZeneca, Glaxo SmithKline, Novartis, Tubelines, Transport for London and the Learning and Skills Council.

MPS services the private and public sector supporting significant public sector growth areas such as defence, health and education.
