Recycling At The Heart of RWM 2007

The Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition 2007 is to practice what it preaches this year with the introduction of its very own recycling plant at the show, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 11 to 13 September.

With the help of Mil-tek GB Ltd, one of the UK's leading suppliers of air powered balers and waste presses, the RWM recycling plant will be live and on the exhibition floor at the Birmingham NEC to recycle the waste produced by visitors and exhibitors at the show. Visitors to stand 1570 at RWM will see how Mil-tek's state-of-the-art machinery can recycle cardboard, plastic and polystyrene waste into dense bales in a quiet, clean and efficient way.

With over 450 exhibits and an anticipated 8,000 visitors, the Recycling & Waste Management Show is the UK's largest event dedicated to showcasing the latest waste management and recycling technologies in this fast changing industry.

Aside from Mil-tek's recycling plant which will operate inside the exhibition hall, there will be live demonstrations in the popular Outdoor Demonstration Area at RWM. Recycling demonstrations will be hosted by Blue Machinery who will show how they turn wood waste to biomass with the latest technology, and Willibald. Visitors can see vehicle demonstrations from FAUN Municipal Vehicles and Global Recycling Solutions, while the outdoor area partner, JCB Group Ltd will be showcasing its Wastemaster range vehicles in action.

Meanwhile, RWM's seminar programme, which is free to all exhibition visitors,will tackle a wide range of issues and topics affecting the waste management industry and offers all the latest thinking and solutions from high profile figures and world market leaders.

And a new feature for RWM 07 is Talking Climate Change - a dedicated area and seminar programme introduced in response to the urgent need for practical information on tackling climate change, through recycling and waste management. Visitors will be able to attend free of charge sessions where they can find out how to measure the carbon footprint of their organisation and understand how legislation such as the Climate Change Bill is likely to affect them.
