Safety Footwear specialist Dickies (UK) has introduced several new products to its already impressive safety footwear range.
The new additions include the Bergen Super Safety Hiker Boot, the Antrim Super Safety Boot and the Berwick Super Safety Hiker Boot.
To provide protection the boots are fitted with regulation steel toe-caps conforming to EN345 (200 Joules). This standard will protect the wearer from an impact equivalent to 20kg in weight falling on to the toes from a height of 10.2 metres. It also relates to compression protection corresponding to approximately 1.5 tonnes resting on the toe area. Additionally all three new boots are fitted with a flexible steel midsole to protect against the risk of sharp objects penetrating the sole.
The distinctive Bergen Super Safety Hiker Boot has a padded collar and tongue and the additional comfort feature of a breathable Cambrelle lining designed to keep the foot warm in winter and cool in summer.
The Antrim Super Safety Boot follows the more traditional ankle boot design and has a leather upper with a sturdy polyurethane sole, while customer choice in the hugely popular safety hiker boot collection has been further expanded with the introduction of the Berwick Super Safety Hiker.
