Thomas Mitchell Group has appointed Clive Maxwell as Commercial Director for its private housing division.

Clive, who trained as a Quantity Surveyor, has twenty-nine years experience in the construction industry, twenty four of them with major housebuilders. Having worked as a Quantity Surveyor for companies including Muir Homes, Clive has also held positions as Commercial Director with Laing Homes Scotland; Technical Director with St Andrews Mansell (part of the Berkley Group), and he has been Head of the Commercial Department at both Persimmon and Barratt Homes. He boasts a wide range of experience ranging from city centre flatted to prestigious waterfront developments.

With a strong track record of guiding projects from the funding stage through to completion, Clive brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the Board. Working alongside the internal technical team and external consultants, Clive is responsible for ensuring that the commercial aspects of housing development at Thomas Mitchell support the ambitious plans for the Group.

During a period of rapid development at Thomas Mitchell Homes, Clive commented “I am very excited about this opportunity and I greatly look forward to making a positive contribution to the success of the Group.”
