Thomas Mitchell Homes Announces New Spring Seminars

Thomas Mitchell Homes, one of the UK’s longest established designers, manufacturers and suppliers of timber frame house kits, has announced the latest dates for its popular self build seminars to take place at the Self Build Centre in Fife, Scotland.

The Thomas Mitchell Self Build Centre in Kircaldy is a one stop shop for self builders, combining Self Build Showhome with Seminar Centre. The centre, which opened in March 2006, has continued to attract prospective self builders from across the UK to learn about self-building with timber frames from experienced builders, designers and architects.

These seminars are an invaluable tool for both novice self builders and those with more experience, covering everything from acquiring land, financing the project, selecting the right home, obtaining planning permission and selecting a builder.

Thomas Mitchell Homes operate a very active Design and Build division, working with either their own substantial in-house design department, or alternatively by coordinating and working in conjunction with an external design team created to suit a particular project. Kits are manufactured for individuals and developers alike who wish to bring their own design expertise to the table to meet their personal aspirations, or indeed the individual requirements of the site, location or market place. The company will work from clients' sketches or architects plans and all planning sensitive issues are easily catered for with alternative external treatments on all homes.

With a variety of plots for sale and funding packages to suit the self builder, Thomas Mitchell Homes has teamed up with BuildStore to provide information on how to finance the building of a project. The company also maintains a list of accredited Key Partner Builders that they can recommend assist in the building of a Thomas Mitchell Home.
