Galliford Try has reached a key construction milestone at 30-33 Sloane Street in Knightsbridge, celebrating the topping out of the development with a ceremonial final bolt tightening.
The event, which signifies the building reaching its highest point, was attended by Lord Cadogan, Chairman of client Cadogan, and Hugh Seaborn, Chief Executive of Cadogan, alongside key stakeholders and supply chain partners.
Situated in one of the world's most prestigious luxury retail locations, the £70m redevelopment will deliver a new six-storey mixed-use building with a basement, including premium retail units, Cat A office space, and a rooftop restaurant and terrace. The scheme will retain the historic Tudorbethan facade while aiming to meet the highest standards of sustainable design and construction.
The project complements Cadogan's recent £46m enhancement of the Sloane Street public realm, creating a 1km green boulevard from Knightsbridge to Sloane Square.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial, commented: "The topping out at 30-33 Sloane Street is a proud moment for the entire project team. This development showcases how heritage, sustainability and modern construction can come together to create a truly exceptional destination. We are pleased to be delivering this landmark project in partnership with Cadogan and look forward to seeing the scheme reach completion."
