Homes England has begun the search for a development partner to lead the regeneration of Nottingham's landmark Broad Marsh site, unveiling the move at UKREiiF.

The agency set out plans for a lively, inclusive and sustainable mixed‑use quarter, bringing together high‑quality homes, Grade A office space, retail and leisure, and a well-designed public realm to make the area a destination for residents, businesses and visitors.

Early market engagement is now under way to identify a suitably qualified partner to drive the transformation of the former Broad Marsh shopping centre into a new mixed‑use district.

Homes England acquired the site in March 2025 to unlock progress and is working through a Collaboration Agreement with partners, with demolition works currently in progress.

The scheme is being delivered with the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) and Nottingham City Council, and is central to the council’s long-term vision for the city.

Plans include reconnecting major city-centre destinations, improving routes for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users, and introducing green and public spaces to support outdoor activity.
