Persimmon's South West division has gained planning consent for the concluding phase of the Hill Barton Vale development in Exeter, marking the last piece of the consortium-led scheme.

Under the permission granted by Exeter City Council, the South West team will construct around one third of the approved new homes, with 35% designated for a local housing association.

The new properties will be zero‑carbon ready, connected to the district heating network and equipped with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points. Animal boxes and sustainable drainage systems are also included to enhance environmental performance.

Earlier phases at Hill Barton Vale have been completed and occupied, and this final approval paves the way to finish the entire site.
