Buckinghamshire Council will attend the UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) in Leeds this week as it sharpens its long-term approach to strengthening, delivering and growing town centres across the county.

Running from 19 to 21 May, UKREiiF brings together councils, central government, investors and delivery partners to support regeneration, housing and infrastructure.

The council's presence builds on an ongoing programme of support for town centres, including progress in High Wycombe, and signals a wider intent to bring forward co-ordinated, deliverable plans across Buckinghamshire over time. Aylesbury town centre is being treated as the lead opportunity, while future ambitions for other locations continue to be shaped.

At the forum, Buckinghamshire Council will host a Town Centres First roundtable, convening local authorities, investors and delivery partners to explore how brownfield land in town centres can be unlocked to deliver homes, activity and long-term community value.

As part of the session, the council will launch the Aylesbury Town Centre Investment Prospectus, which frames Aylesbury as a single, housing-led regeneration programme rather than a set of disconnected sites.

The prospectus outlines how town-centre housing can underpin local businesses and services; the role of brownfield sites in reducing pressure on green spaces; how the council is aligning land, planning and infrastructure; and the types of long-term partners needed to support delivery.

Aylesbury is presented as the first step in a broader approach the council intends to apply to other Buckinghamshire town centres over time.

Alongside the Aylesbury focus, the council will contribute to wider UKREiiF discussions on economic growth, skills, infrastructure and placemaking, reflecting Buckinghamshire’s role in supporting sustainable growth across the region.

The council stressed that no decisions or deals will be made at the event. UKREiiF is an opportunity for early-stage discussions and to test ideas, with any future proposals subject to normal governance, engagement and decision-making processes.
