Coffey has achieved dual recognition at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) West Midlands Awards, claiming top honours for individual leadership and technical excellence.
Hayley Jackson was named Rising Star at the ceremony, a title that recognises her exceptional leadership in pre-construction and her success in building Coffey’s UK pre-construction function. The accolade also highlights her ongoing dedication to STEM outreach, professional mentoring, and the wider industry. Her nomination and support were led by John Paul Smyth.
In tandem with the individual win, Coffey and partner Severn Trent received a Highly Commended distinction in the Innovation and Technical Excellence category. The award was presented for the Loggerheads Sanatorium Sewage Treatment Works (STW) project. The scheme successfully overcame severe site constraints by utilising digitally enabled process controls alongside Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) led solutions.
The company stated that these achievements strongly reflect its core business values: operating with integrity to earn trust, driving technical excellence through continuous learning, and fostering a culture of teamwork and shared purpose across its collaborations.
