Kori Construction has been appointed to deliver a new 70-bed care home in Ipswich in partnership with Morrison Community Care Group, with on-site construction scheduled to begin at the end of May 2026. The scheme marks the first collaboration between the two organisations and underscores their shared focus on high-quality, future-ready care environments.
Holden & Lee has been named Employer's Agent, providing oversight from the project's outset through to completion.
With a gross development value of approximately £19 million, the state-of-the-art home is designed to meet residents' evolving needs, offering modern, comfortable accommodation and high-quality communal facilities. Upon completion, the home will be operated by Care UK, one of the country's leading care providers.
Practical completion is targeted for winter 2027. Once open, the development will add vital care capacity for Ipswich, support local families, create jobs and deliver more than £11 million of social value within the community.
Jordan Connachie, Managing Director of Kori Construction, said: "Kori is proud to be partnering with Morrison Community Care Group on this exciting new development in Ipswich. This project reflects our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, purpose-built care environments that enhance the lives of residents and support care providers. We look forward to establishing a strong and lasting relationship with Morrison Community Care Group."
Paul Sokhi, Managing Director of Morrison Community Care Group, added: "We are delighted to be strengthening our growing UK pipeline of high-quality care facilities. We are particularly pleased that this project marks our first collaboration with Kori Construction. They have a strong track record in delivering high-quality healthcare developments, and we look forward to building a long-term partnership together, starting with this flagship scheme."
The project further expands Kori's care sector portfolio and reinforces its reputation for delivering high-quality care home developments across the UK.
