Construction group STRABAG has finalised the acquisition of Crofton Engineering Limited, a specialist steelwork and metalwork firm based in Linton, Cambridgeshire.
The deal forms part of STRABAG UK's wider growth strategy and is expected to strengthen its capabilities in structural steelwork and architectural metalwork. The acquisition also adds specialist expertise in delivering turnkey fire training infrastructure, including training buildings and towers.
Founded in 1953, Crofton Engineering brings more than 70 years of experience in the design, fabrication and installation of steel structures and metalwork. The company has built a client base spanning regional and international markets, operating across multiple sectors as a steelwork subcontractor.
Following the acquisition, Crofton Engineering will continue to operate from its existing site in Linton under its current name. The senior management team will remain in place to ensure continuity.
