Costain Secures Place On Procure Partnerships North West Contractor Framework

Costain has been appointed to the North West Contractor Framework by Procure Partnerships Framework, managed on behalf of Wirral Council, supports public sector organisations in delivering infrastructure projects from procurement through to completion.

It is accessible to a wide range of public sector bodies across the North West, including government departments, local authorities, schools, housing associations, regulated utilities, and emergency services. Effective from 1 April 2026, the four-year framework carries a total value of £1.2 billion.

Costain has secured positions on Lot 11 and Lot 12 of the framework. Lot 11, valued at £120 million, covers projects between £15 million and £30 million, while Lot 12, with a total estimated value of £144 million, covers projects exceeding £30 million.

The company will leverage its expertise in delivering complex engineering-led solutions across road, rail, integrated transport, energy, water, and defence & nuclear sectors, utilising its Manchester office to support its strong regional presence.

"Our selection to the framework marks an expansion of our portfolio of partners in the infrastructure ecosystem and the North West of England. It is a region that we know well and where we have a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects predictably in collaboration with our supply chain partners," said Jonathan Willcock, Managing Director, Transportation at Costain.

He added: "We will be focused on establishing strong working relationships that will allow us to deliver engineering-led solutions that incorporate constructability and Production Thinking, supporting jobs, growth and more resilient infrastructure for the North West."
