GRAHAM Completes 183 Homes In Milton Keynes Regeneration

GRAHAM has finished building 183 new homes at The Lakes Estate in Bletchley, marking a major milestone in an £85 million regeneration of the 1960s-built neighbourhood.

At a recent ceremony which celebrated the final handovers, was attended by Pat O'Hare, Regional Director at GRAHAM, Councillor Ed Hume and local residents. Since construction began in 2024, more than 100 council tenants have already moved into the modern, energy-efficient properties.

Alongside the housing, GRAHAM has delivered new road infrastructure and green spaces, with the new Warren Park now in its final stages and due to open in the coming weeks. The completion of the homes concludes phase one of the project, paving the way for a nursery, community hub and retail units. Milton Keynes City Council has also approved funding for a new health hub, with construction scheduled to begin in early 2027.

The regeneration plans were shaped over a decade in close partnership with residents, following concerns about the ageing Serpentine Court homes and rising repair costs. The community-led proposals were approved in 2020. The programme is being funded by Milton Keynes City Council, which has invested almost £70 million, supported by a grant of just under £15 million from Homes England.

Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Ed Hume said: "This is a significant moment for local residents. These new homes mark the beginning of a new chapter for them, offering the security and quality they deserve.

"This regeneration shows what can happen when a community works hand in hand with the council to shape its future. The progress we see today will deliver better life chances, stronger neighbourhoods and new opportunities for many years to come."

Pat O'Hare, Regional Director at GRAHAM, said: "Reaching this milestone is a proud moment for everyone involved in the project. Working closely with Milton Keynes City Council and local residents, we’ve not only delivered high-quality homes, but developed a vibrant neighbourhood which benefits families and individuals in the area.

"The improved infrastructure, green spaces and the creation of Warren Park will help shape a neighbourhood that residents can be proud of for generations to come."

GRAHAM was appointed via Pagabo's Major Works Framework, selected for its track record in delivering large-scale residential schemes with lasting community benefits.
