CRC Evans, a global leader in specialty welding and coating services, has announced a significant investment in a new 90,000 sq ft facility in Burnley.

Positioned as one of the largest end-to-end engineering hubs of its kind within the EMEAA region, the site is designed to anchor the company's international growth strategy across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

The new "supersite" will serve as a Centre of Excellence and the global headquarters for CRC Evans' Critical Infrastructure business stream. The facility is equipped to meet ongoing demand in conventional gas markets while accelerating the company's diversification into high-growth sectors, including renewables, nuclear, aerospace, defence, and carbon capture.

The purpose-built environment consolidates advanced manufacturing, digital systems integration, and engineering under one roof. To meet the stringent requirements of highly regulated industries such as nuclear and aerospace, the site incorporates strict material segregation and contamination-controlled workflows, ensuring the highest levels of traceability and performance.

The Burnley hub will also act as a primary location for the development of next-generation automation and welding technologies. It will integrate these physical services with digital assurance systems, including the company's proprietary cloud-based Data 360 platform, providing clients with enhanced data integrity and real-time performance visibility.
