Turner & Townsend has been reappointed to the Professional Services Framework for Hinkley Point C (HPC), marking a continuation of its long-standing strategic partnership with EDF. In a significant expansion of its remit, the professional services firm has also been selected to provide support for EDF's wider nuclear operations, which oversees the UK's current fleet of operational nuclear power stations.

The newly secured frameworks carry an initial five-term duration, with the provision for a five-year extension. Under the agreement, Turner & Townsend will deliver a comprehensive suite of mission-critical services, including:

• Cost and Commercial Management

• Project Controls and Performance Monitoring

• Digital Integration and Asset Management

This appointment builds on a relationship that dates back to 2011. As HPC—the first nuclear power station in a generation—progresses toward its commissioning phase, the consultancy's role will be pivotal in navigating the complexities of one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years.

From a socio-economic perspective, the project continues to be a major driver for industrial skills. To date, more than 1,700 apprentices have been trained on-site, including over 10 through Turner & Townsend's own programmes, bolstering the UK's nuclear talent pipeline.
