Kilnbridge Announces Record Financial Results And £300m Order Book

Kilnbridge has reported its strongest financial performance in recent years, underpinned by a significant expansion in operational capability and a robust long-term growth strategy. The Group saw turnover rise to £129 million—a 50% increase—while profit before tax surged by 81% to reach £6.7 million. This represents the highest profit result since the company became an employee-owned group.

The firm's future outlook is supported by a £300 million forward order book, which provides a solid foundation for continued investment. To manage this growth, Kilnbridge has reinforced its management structure and increased capacity to handle a broader range of large-scale projects. The Group operates through four distinct businesses—Kilnbridge Structures, Kilnbridge Design and Engineering, Kilnbridge Structural Services, and Kilnbridge Fire Protection—which collaborate under a "One Kilnbridge" model to provide integrated engineering solutions.

Recent project completions include the Colne Valley Viaduct for HS2, Beaulieu Park Station in Essex, and the BBC Music and Sadler's Wells East facilities at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The company is currently active on several high-profile sites, including One North Quay in Canary Wharf, Project Aleph in Mayfair, and The Hub in Aldermaston.

Kilnbridge Founder and Chairman Dermot McDermott said: "2025 has been a strong year for Kilnbridge, with all projects delivered successfully and profitably. Our £300 million order book positions us strongly for the next 12 months. Over the past year we have strengthened our team structure, expanded our operational capacity and built an organisational model that supports delivery at scale. This means we can take on a larger and more diverse portfolio of projects while maintaining the high standards our customers expect."

The Group's commitment to its workforce was highlighted by its highest-ever employee profit-share payment. Kilnbridge continues to invest in the industry's future through various graduate and apprenticeship programmes.

Kilnbridge Chief Executive Officer Owen Dannatt added: "We continue to deliver engineering excellence and innovation across some of the most complex and iconic projects in the UK, guided by a commitment to sustainability and safety. We are proud to work with a wide range of trusted customers who value the quality of our delivery and the depth of expertise across our business. Our success is only possible because of our people. As an employee‑owned group, their pride, skill and dedication are at the heart of everything we do. Issuing our highest employee profit‑share payment to date reflects the progress we have made together and recognises the hard work and commitment of our teams across the business."

Looking ahead, the Group remains focused on sustainability and its role in delivering the UK's most complex infrastructure and construction projects.
