The International Access and Scaffolding Association (IASA) has named David Brown as its new Chairman after the death of former Chair Wayne Connolly.
Brown, who also serves as Chairman and President of the UK's National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), brings extensive leadership experience and a strong focus on safety, standards and cross-border cooperation in the access and scaffolding sector.
IASA paid tribute to Connolly's vision and leadership, which it said were central to shaping the association's mission and uniting the international community. The organisation offered its condolences to Connolly's family, friends and colleagues, and honoured his lasting contribution to the industry.
"I am honoured to take on the role of Chairman of IASA at this difficult and important time," said David Brown. "Wayne was a highly respected leader whose passion for the industry and belief in international collaboration helped define IASA's purpose. I look forward to building on his legacy and working closely with the IASA Board to continue promoting safety, best practice, and shared standards worldwide."
In his NASC role, Brown has been a prominent advocate for excellence in safety, quality and compliance across the UK scaffolding and access market, supporting innovation and higher standards through active industry engagement.
