Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon has named a new Construction Director, promoting Phil Moir from within the business. The former Construction Manager will lead operations across the patch from Helston to Bideford and Plymouth, with developments also in Newquay, Liskeard, Falmouth and Okehampton.

Before this step up, Moir served as Contracts Manager. His career spans five years at Vistry Group in roles including Area Build Manager, Area Build Director and site manager, preceded by a period as Area Manager at national electrical contractor Clarkson Evans. He began an electrical apprenticeship at 16 and has worked throughout the South West ever since.

Commenting on his new role, Phil said: "I am delighted to be taking on this new role for the Cornwall & West Devon business. I’ve really enjoyed making the most of the Contracts Manager and Construction Manager roles in the last two years and am looking forward to doing the same as a director.

"We have high standards to which we hold ourselves at Persimmon and further embedding that into our working practices is something I am more than keen to do.

"With so much to be getting on with, I look forward to working closely with senior management at Persimmon to achieve our mission of building high-quality homes for local people across the region."
