Clowes Developments Achieves Practical Completion On Trade Units At Viking Park

Clowes Developments has achieved practical completion of two speculatively built trade counter units at Viking Park in Congleton, marking the latest phase of commercial development at the site.

Delivered in partnership with lead construction contractor Roe Developments, the new units are now complete and available for immediate occupation on a leasehold basis.

The scheme, known as Viking Trade Park, comprises two modern industrial buildings — Viking F3 and Viking G3 — each providing 12,220 sq ft of commercial space. Both buildings have been designed to offer a high level of flexibility and can be subdivided into three terraced units of approximately 4,000 sq ft, allowing them to accommodate a broad range of trade and industrial occupiers.

The units are located adjacent to the recently opened MKM Building Supplies branch and occupy a prominent roadside position on Viking Way, offering strong visibility to passing traffic. The site also benefits from direct access to key transport routes, providing occupiers with an efficient operational base and enhanced connectivity.

Developers say the location also offers long-term commercial potential, supported by a growing residential population in the surrounding area and the continued expansion of Viking Park as a strategic employment destination.

Marc Freeman, Development Director at Clowes Developments, said: "We are pleased to bring these high-quality units to the Congleton market at a time when supply of new-build industrial space remains extremely limited. Our decision to deliver these buildings speculatively reflects our confidence in the strength of the local economy and in Viking Park as a long-term strategic location. The flexibility of the units allows us to meet a broad range of occupational requirements, and we look forward to welcoming new businesses to the scheme."

The completion of Viking F3 and G3 further strengthens Viking Park's position as a key industrial and trade location within the Congleton area, offering modern accommodation designed to meet current market demand.
