Salvue Lists 2024 Volvo FE320 Flat-Bed Truck Following Chemical Spill Incident

Salvue Ltd, a UK-based specialist in the disposal and auction of salvage, surplus, and incident-damaged vehicles and equipment, has announced the listing of a 2024 Volvo FE320 6×2 flat-bed truck fitted with a Palfinger SLD5 crane on its online bidding platform.

Salvue works with insurers, fleet operators, and corporate clients to provide transparent, compliant resale solutions for assets affected by accidents, contamination, or operational losses. The company's digital auction marketplace connects professional buyers with commercial vehicles and equipment across the UK and Europe.

The newly listed Volvo FE320, currently located in Bury St Edmunds, is being offered for sale following chemical spill damage, reportedly caused by an Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) failure.

The Volvo FE320 is a modern rigid truck commonly used in logistics, construction, and municipal operations. The vehicle is equipped with a Palfinger SLD5 loader crane, a well-known hydraulic crane model designed for lifting and material handling applications. The extent of damage to the crane and chassis will be a key consideration for prospective buyers.

Salvue has listed the vehicle as damaged and sold "as is, where is", in line with its standard auction terms. Interested parties are encouraged to carry out their own inspections prior to bidding to assess decontamination requirements, corrosion risks, and repair viability.

Salvage listings of this nature typically attract interest from fleet refurbishers, specialist rebuilders, exporters, and parts recyclers. Depending on regulatory and technical factors, vehicles affected by chemical exposure may be repaired for secondary use or dismantled for component recovery.

The auction is now live on Salvue's online platform and closes on 30 January at 3.30pm.
