Winvic Construction Ltd has finished a major £14 million infrastructure project in Newport Pagnell three months ahead of schedule for developer Newlands Developments.

The works formed part of the new industrial and logistics park, Panattoni Park, Milton Keynes, as well as a housing development along Willen Road.

The scheme included extensive highways and access improvements, including the dualling of a 600m section of Willen Road from the M1 bridge to Marsh End Roundabout, upgrades to the roundabout and the A422 carriageway, widening approaches from two lanes to three, and the construction of two new signalised junctions to enhance traffic flow and safety. Additional works comprised 3,000m of drainage, road tie-ins, service crossings, utility diversions covering 3,600m, and extensive road surfacing. To minimise disruption, the majority of the works were carried out off-line, with careful planning allowing completion well ahead of the February 2026 target.

Earlier in 2025, Winvic also delivered two speculative industrial units at Panattoni Park, achieving Net Zero, Carbon in Construction, and BREEAM Outstanding ratings, alongside site preparation and associated highways works for Newlands Developments.

As part of its social value commitments, Winvic partnered with the developer to implement a Local Employment and Training Plan, creating 243 local jobs on site. The project engaged 33 local businesses, 77% of which were SMEs, and spent £12,000 with Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs). Four apprentices, two T Level students, and four work experience placements also received training and upskilling support.

The project achieved a 33% reduction in A1-A5 upfront carbon, reaching 298 kgCO2e/m². Low-carbon concrete with 40% Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) and steel reinforcement containing up to 100% recycled content saved a combined 2,730 tCO2e. All waste was diverted from landfill, with 96% recycled and 4% converted to green energy, avoiding 326 tCO2e. Early grid connection further reduced diesel generator use, cutting an additional 25 tCO2e. Collaboration with VCSE Community Wood Recycling diverted 4.4 tonnes of timber for 100% recycling, supporting local employment opportunities.
