Nottingham Forest has confirmed that planning applications have been submitted for the redevelopment of the City Ground.
The proposals will see significant funding from owner Evangelos Marinakis to deliver a sustainable and iconic stadium design, increasing capacity to more than 50,000. The club said the redevelopment will play an important role in supporting the economic growth of Nottingham and the wider region.
The club has thanked supporters and the local community for the positive engagement shown during consultation on the plans, and acknowledged the support of its project partners Gleeds, KSS Design Group, Buro Happold and Savills.
It now plans to work closely with the Mayor of the East Midlands, Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, alongside fans and local stakeholders, to progress the proposals and achieve a successful outcome in the coming months.
