St Helens town centre has been illuminated for the festive season with the installation of two traditional Christmas trees, supplied by Rainford’s Farm and Christmas Trees and funded with support from VINCI Building and its supply chain partner, Murraywood Construction Ltd.

The trees have been placed in Church Square and Victoria Square, where they will be lit daily throughout the Christmas period. The festive displays form part of wider efforts to поддержать town centre activity during ongoing regeneration works.

VINCI Building is the main contractor on the St Helens town centre regeneration programme, which is being delivered by St Helens Borough Council in partnership with regeneration specialist ECF – a joint venture between Homes England, Muse and Legal & General.

Councillor Richard McCauley, Cabinet Member for Regeneration at St Helens Borough Council, welcomed the initiative and highlighted its importance for residents and visitors. He said: "We are grateful to VINCI Building for their continued support and commitment to giving back to St Helens Borough throughout the town centre regeneration programme. Major progress has been made on the works this year and it is vital we remind residents and visitors that the town centre remains open throughout the construction period and that we are ready to welcome them. These Christmas trees are a fantastic way to show that and allow our residents to enjoy the festive period."
