Civic has announced an expansion of its building services engineering and sustainability teams with a series of senior appointments across its Manchester and London studios.

This latest recruitment drive has more than doubled the team's headcount over the last six months, following the earlier arrival of Technical Director Olivier Boennec in London.

Nathaniel Hague joins the Manchester office as an Associate Director. He is a chartered mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience, specialising in delivering innovative, low-energy building solutions for various sectors, including residential, co-living, commercial, and healthcare developments. He joins Civic from Atelier Ten.

In London, Caroline Webb joins as an Associate and a mechanical and electrical engineer. She brings extensive design experience, particularly focused on cultural and heritage buildings. Her current projects include the refurbishment of two listed hotels in London and residential-led regeneration work in Sheffield.

Also joining the London studio is Gavril Borovanski as an Associate Electrical Engineer. Gavril's experience spans residential, commercial developments, museums, listed buildings, and transport infrastructure, where he advises on security, fire alarm systems, lighting, and electrical services from the initial concept phase through to construction.

The firm has also welcomed two new Senior Mechanical Engineers: Lewis Hughes in Manchester and Benedict Holland in London. With a combined total of 13 years' industry experience, they are both focused on building services design for a mixed portfolio of residential developments, commercial schemes (including offices, hotels, bars, and restaurants), and Grade I and II listed buildings.
