Wates Construction has named Jenny Martin as Preconstruction Director for its West region, reinforcing the company's regional leadership and focus on delivering high-quality developments.

Martin brings more than 25 years' experience across business development, bid strategy and commercial management. She began her career as an estimator and holds a degree in quantity surveying alongside a diploma in construction law.

Her arrival marks a return to Wates, where she worked earlier in her career. Most recently, she led the work-winning team at Morgan Sindall for four years.

Martin is also Vice-Chair of Constructing Excellence Liverpool and was recognised among the National Federation of Builders' Top 100 Women in Construction in 2023.
