Stepnell Begins Next Phase Of Development At Hazeley Enterprise Park

Stepnell has started the latest phase of development at Hazeley Enterprise Park, near Twyford, expanding the site with new light industrial units, energy-efficient offices and a dedicated community hub.

The scheme aims to address the shortage of high-quality business premises in the region. Once complete, the park will feature 17 new light industrial units and up to ten office units. At its centre will be the Hazeley Hub, a space designed to bring together tenants and the wider community with a café, meeting rooms and event facilities.

Stepnell has now begun remediation of the former chicken farm and feed mill to prepare the ground for construction.

Rob Speirs, director at Stepnell, said: "From our nearby Southampton office, we understand the local demand for high quality industrial and commercial units within the area and the ease of access that such a development affords from the M3.

"Hazeley Enterprise Park will provide the local area with enhanced access to high-quality commercial spaces and increasing employment opportunities in the commercial and industrial sectors.

"Working on an active site requires strong site control and communication and we’ve already been proactively sending out monthly newsletters to residents to keep them informed on the project's progress. We’re also engaging with surrounding neighbours to ensure that disruption to their working day is kept to a minimum."

Environmental sensitivity is a key priority on the rural site, which is surrounded by parkland and woodland. Stepnell is incorporating ecological considerations from the outset, including enhancing biodiversity across a 12-acre field and planting native trees, shrubs and wildflower areas.

Sustainable features are being supported by Step Energy, Stepnell Group's energy and renewables arm, which is installing rooftop solar panels. All units will be equipped with electric vehicle charging as standard. Social value commitments will also form part of the build, with apprenticeships and local supply chains embedded into the project.
