Leviat Introduces A1-Rated Non-Combustible Insulation Retaining Clip For High-Rise Projects

Leviat, global leader in engineered construction solutions, has launched the Ancon A1-ST1 insulation retaining clip, a new non-combustible, A1-rated solution specifically designed to fit the Ancon ST1 heavy duty wall tie widely used in high-rise buildings.

This stainless-steel clip offers specifiers and contractors a robust A1 fire-rated alternative for cavity wall systems in projects where non-combustible components are required in order to comply with the updated Building Regulations Approved Document B (ADB).

While Leviat's existing plastic insulation retaining clips remain fully compliant and fit for use in cavity wall applications, the new Ancon A1-ST1 clip simply expands the choice available to customers, enabling them to specify the right product based on their project’s specific fire performance needs.

Manufactured using A1-rated high tensile strength stainless spring steel, the A1-ST1 offers excellent corrosion resistance and is designed for a 60-year service life. Supplied to site fully formed and ready to install, it requires no on-site bending or adjustment. Installation is fast and straightforward. Simply rotate the clip onto the Ancon ST1 wall tie and slide it into place. The smooth, rounded edges improve safety for installers while ensuring secure insulation retention.

"With the launch of the Ancon A1-ST1 retaining clip, we're responding directly to customer demand for non-combustible solutions that meet evolving regulations without adding complexity on site," said Simon McManus, National Sales Manager, UK Masonry at Leviat. "Supplied ready for use straight out of the box, this simple to install insulation retaining clip gives specifiers and contractors a fully compliant option for high-rise and other fire-critical projects, while still maintaining the performance and ease of use of all of Leviat's products."

This product reinforces Leviat's commitment to supporting safer, regulation-ready construction with a full suite of non-combustible solutions. A complementary A1-rated clip for strip wall ties will follow shortly, offering the same fire-safe performance across a wide range of applications. As regulatory expectations evolve, Leviat continues to lead the way in offering practical solutions that help the industry build safer, better and faster.
