Caddick has handed over 88 new affordable, environmentally friendly homes to Greater Manchester housing provider First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO), supporting the continued delivery of high-quality, sustainable housing in the area.
The £20 million West Vale development, situated at the gateway to Oldham, comprises 26 two, three, and four-bedroom houses for shared ownership, alongside 62 one and two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent.
All properties in the scheme have an Energy Performance Certificate B rating and incorporate modern sustainable technologies, including air source heat pumps, helping residents reduce energy costs.
Dave Saville, Regional Managing Director of Caddick Construction North West, said: "Our completion of the fantastic West Vale residential development is a mark of our experience in delivering first-class residential projects, designed and built with its end-users front of mind. Throughout the programme, we enlisted our established and high-quality local supply chain throughout Greater Manchester, which has resulted in an efficient and exceptional delivery of the scheme for our client FCHO."
Steve Agger, Executive Director of Homes at FCHO, said: "We have been proud to partner with Caddick Construction on our development at West Vale. The high quality of the build has made for a top-class project using local suppliers and contractors in many cases. The result is a fantastic replacement for the unfit for purpose tower blocks Crossbank House and Summervale House that were on the site."
