Esh Construction has secured a place on YORhub's second-generation Civil Engineering Major Works Framework, positioning the contractor to deliver high-value infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the Humber and the East Midlands.

The framework, which carries a projected capacity of up to £250 million per year, supports the procurement of public sector civil engineering schemes valued above £10 million. It covers a broad scope of works, including highways construction, structural and bridge upgrades, coastal and flood defence systems, surfacing, and wider civil engineering activity, alongside associated design services.

The appointment reinforces Esh's growing presence in major infrastructure delivery across the North, building on landmark projects such as the Tyne Bridge restoration and the development of Stockton Waterfront Urban Park. It also strengthens the company’s ongoing collaboration within the YORhub framework network.

Esh has demonstrated extensive delivery capability across Yorkshire, most recently completing the £6.4 million Sheffield Road Cycleways and Maltby Bus Corridor scheme, part of a wider programme of active travel upgrades for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The contractor also supported major regional development through the M181 Phase 1 project, delivered with North Lincolnshire Council, which included the construction of two new roundabouts near Scunthorpe.

The YORcivil Major Works 2 Contractor Framework covers 21 local authorities spanning from North Yorkshire down to Derbyshire. It forms part of a collaborative approach to procurement, enabling public sector bodies to access experienced contractors for large-scale civil engineering works.
