LSK Supplies Boosts Fastener Range With Rapierstar

Scotland's largest independent supplier of architectural ironmongery and building materials, has partnered with Rapierstar to add our branded products to their portfolio for the first time.

Glasgow based LSK Supplies, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025, operates a network of nine trade counters providing the construction trades and DIY customers with more than 5,000 products.

LSK's range spans everything from ironmongery, fixings and tools, through to PPE and electrical and plumbing supplies, ensuring customers can depend on LSK for all types of construction project.

The addition of Rapierstar fasteners is the latest development in LSK’s long term strategy to develop its range and provide the industry’s most respected and valued brands across all trades. The company has introduced Rapierstar StarFix masonry screws, which are principally designed to install window and door frames and StarTurn premium woodscrews, plus StarDeck decking screws.

In addition to its expanded range, to support a growing customer base LSK Supplies has embarked on a major expansion programme, including a recruitment campaign and the development of a new distribution centre and next generation trade counter in central Glasgow. The new facility is set to dramatically enhance the merchant experience and increase accessibility to the industry’s major brands like Rapierstar via an attractive trade counter format that will be rolled out across its branch network.

LSK's growth has also been boosted recently with the launch of its website store, extending its customer base UK-wide. This means LSK can offer the convenience of an online service for its complete product range, with click and collect also available, backed by reliable technical advice from a highly knowledgeable, construction sector focused team.

Ryan Cairley, Operations Manager at LSK Supplies, commented: "This is a really exciting time for our business as we expand and invest in making our trade counter network the best in the market. Expanding our product range has been important too, and the addition of the Rapierstar brand will give our customers even greater availability for premium quality fasteners.

"The Rapierstar brand has been on our radar for some time because we know it has already developed a loyal and strong customer base across Scotland. That is always the sign of a technically good product, and we have seen this for ourselves throughout the process of developing our supply partnership with Rapierstar."

Paul McAuley, Technical Consultant at Rapierstar, added: "We're delighted to have LSK Supplies on board as a Rapierstar distributor, a company that’s widely respected across the construction sector in Scotland thanks to its personal approach and focus on building long term relationships with its customers. We look forward to supporting Ryan and the team as the business grows over the coming years."

LSK Supplies opened its first branch in 2000 in the Anniesland district of Glasgow, with the aim of offering the construction industry a reliable, independent merchant for building materials at competitive prices. The business continues to be family-run to this day, built on traditional values but also highly ambitious, with a vision to be a leading supplier of building materials across the UK.
