First Phase Of Atlantic Park Logistics Hub In Liverpool Complete

Winvic Construction Ltd has finished the first phase of Atlantic Park, a 350,000 sq. ft logistics hub in Bootle, Liverpool, on behalf of Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Property.

The 52-acre site, formerly home to Rolls Royce Engineering, sits within the Port of Liverpool Freeport and will ultimately provide 800,000 sq. ft of high-quality industrial space.

The completed first phase includes four flexible logistics and manufacturing units, ranging from 40,000 to 125,000 sq. ft, designed in line with RLAM's Sustainability Strategy, which aims for net zero operational carbon by 2030. The units feature 12.5m haunch heights, two-storey office spaces, large service yards, and 20% of parking bays equipped with EV charging points. The development has achieved BREEAM Excellent, EPC A, and a 10% biodiversity net gain, with bird, bat and insect nest boxes installed.

The first phase also delivered new services, concrete service yards, access roads and full hard and soft landscaping to support occupiers and investors.

Following the successful completion, RLAM has appointed Winvic to deliver the second phase, a 420,000 sq. ft expansion consisting of three additional units ranging from 53,750 to 216,000 sq. ft, with construction having started in July and scheduled for completion in summer 2026. Phase two will be delivered as Net Zero Carbon in Construction, using Winvic’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) process, independently verified and aligned with RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment, UKGBC, and LETI standards.

As part of its commitment to local communities, Winvic has developed an Employment and Skills Plan, collaborating with Sefton at Work, Invest Sefton, and supply chain partners to provide local employment, training opportunities, career talks and student work experience placements.
