Construction is progressing rapidly at Panattoni Park Swindon, where McLaren Construction (Midlands & North) is on track to complete the 545,000 sq. ft. logistics and industrial development within the scheduled 39-week programme.
The design and build project is being delivered on behalf of Panattoni, the leading logistics real estate developer, with support from UMC Architects, KAM Project Consultants, BWB Consulting and Construction CDM Services.
The development has reached several major milestones, with the steel frame now complete, the internal roof nearing completion, windows being installed, and cladding work well underway. Externally, roofing works are advancing, concrete slab installation is in progress, and the multi-storey car park deck has been poured. Further infrastructure works include kerb installation and the connection of power and water services.
Inside, the office area is fully glazed, and cladding is being added to the architectural link bridge connecting the main building to the car park. First-fix mechanical and electrical installations have begun within the warehouse, while internal finishes and office fit-out are progressing strongly.
Once complete, Panattoni Park Swindon will provide state-of-the-art logistics and industrial space, featuring two storeys of high-spec office accommodation and a decked car park. The development is targeting BREEAM 'Outstanding' and EPC A+/A ratings, underlining its commitment to net zero upfront carbon emissions.
