The LHC Procurement Group (LHCPG) has appointed 54 contractors to its new Roofing Systems and Associated Works (RS5) framework, the latest version of its successful RS4 programme.
The RS5 framework is open to public sector organisations across England, Scotland, and Wales, providing faster access to pre-approved roofing manufacturers and contractors for new-build, refurbishment, retrofit, and emergency repair projects.
RS5 features a larger pool of suppliers than its predecessor, with 93% of the appointed contractors classified as small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This includes one micro, 29 small, and 20 medium-sized businesses, enhancing both competition and regional delivery capacity.
The framework takes a manufacturer-led approach, with contractors appointed through manufacturer approval. This ensures roofing works are completed using certified systems with full warranty protection, providing greater assurance of technical and regulatory compliance from design to completion.
RS5 supports a range of green and blue roof systems, energy-efficiency measures, and retrofit schemes to help public sector clients meet building safety, compliance, and decarbonisation targets.
As a not-for-profit organisation, LHCPG embeds social value into all its frameworks. Surpluses generated are reinvested into the Community Benefit Fund, which delivers local improvement projects and supports the creation of more sustainable communities in partnership with delivery partners nationwide.
