The Hyde Group in partnership with Chartway Partnerships Group have been awarded planning approval to develop 135 new homes at Swanstree Avenue in Sittingbourne.
All properties will be built to achieve EPC A energy efficiency, integrating air source heat pumps, solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations and an advanced smart grid energy network.
In addition to providing new homes, the development has been planned to adopt a connected neighbourhood.
The scheme also includes a central green space featuring children’s play areas and new planting and landscaping, and measures to improve local biodiversity, fully aligned with the Government’s Biodiversity Net Gain standards.
Construction is scheduled to begin early next year.
Julian Moat, Planning Director at Chartway said: "Working with our internal and external teams, together with our partner Hyde, we're delighted to have obtained the key milestone of Reserved Matters planning approval from Swale Borough Council in a timely manner.
"This planning approval means that we can now start to develop our high-quality and sustainable-led scheme. I look forward to seeing this carefully designed planning-led scheme built out over the coming months and turning our shared vision into a reality, through the creation of a new community that everyone can be proud of."
