Sustainable Building Services (UK) Ltd (SBS) has commenced work on a £1.8m contract to deliver energy efficiency upgrades to almost 100 homes in Clifton, Nottingham.

The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2.1 scheme sees SBS partner with Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) and procurement specialist Prosper for the first time.

Having already upgraded more than 2,000 properties in Nottingham, the company is well-acquainted with the area and its residents. However, this contract represents SBS’s first major partnership with NCHA, marking a significant step in expanding its local impact.

With the project set to complete by November 2025 and aiming to improve the average EPC rating of the properties to Band C. Planned retrofit measures include the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and external wall insulation (EWI), supplied by manufacturer Permarock.
