Plans have been approved to build the final phases of Persimmon Homes South West's Ashworth Place development just outside Exeter at Mosshayne.

The reserved matters approval is to develop 350 homes, with solar panels installed and equipped with electric vehicle charging points, and will be plugged into the area’s District Heat Network.

The scheme includes allotments, a bus shelter, and other community benefits as well as environmental features such as animal boxes, tree and hedge retention, and a sustainable drainage system.

88 of the properties, marking 25% of the phases, will be reserved for a housing association, with a mixture of social rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership among them, helping alleviate pressure on the local housing waiting list.

Two, three, and four-bed homes are currently for sale on earlier phases of Ashworth Place – situated at Mosshayne to the east of Exeter – prices starting from £239,995.
