VIVID, alongside local leaders and community representatives, has officially commenced construction on Victory Quay, a major residential development set to deliver 835 new homes in Portsmouth.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on the future site of Victory Quay, marked the start of a project designed to provide a mix of high-quality homes, including social rent, shared ownership, and market sale properties, aimed at addressing the city's growing housing needs.
Representatives from VIVID, Homes England, and Portsmouth City Council attended the event, joined by invited guests, to celebrate the development and underscore the shared commitment to sustainable housing and the regeneration of Portsmouth’s northern waterfront.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mark Perry, Chief Executive of VIVID, said: "Victory Quay marks a significant step forward in our commitment to Portsmouth. The new homes will help meet pressing local demand and contribute to a lively, inclusive waterfront community. It's a place designed for people to live well connected to the city’s heritage, shaped by sustainability, and built with the future in mind."
