Watkin Jones has announced the practical completion of its new 260-bed Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) development at Gas Lane in Bristol.

The project has been forward funded by Hines on behalf of the Hines European Property Partners Fund (HEPP).

The new development features 219 ensuite cluster bedrooms and 41 self-contained studios, supported by a range of high-quality shared amenities such as a communal lounge and a landscaped roof terrace. The property will be operated by Aparto, HEPP’s dedicated student living platform.

Located adjacent to the University of Bristol's forthcoming Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus and less than half a mile from Bristol Temple Meads station, the accommodation offers strong transport links to Bath, Oxford, and London. Students will also enjoy close proximity to key city destinations including Castle Park, Cabot Circus, The Galleries Shopping Centre, and the vibrant Harbourside area.

The scheme has achieved BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore Platinum certifications. Eco-friendly features include biodiverse roof areas, bird and bat boxes, wildlife-friendly landscaping, and 90 cycle parking spaces to promote active travel. Consistent with Watkin Jones' ESG commitments, at least 80% of non-hazardous and demolition waste from construction was reused or recycled.
