Avant Homes has submitted plans and exchanged contracts on an 11.9-acre site in Barugh Green, Barnsley, with proposals to deliver a £37 million development comprising 155 new homes.
Situated on Barugh Green Road, the proposed scheme includes a mix of one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom properties, featuring 14 of Avant Homes' modern, energy-efficient house types designed to meet the needs of a broad range of buyers.
If approved by Barnsley Council, construction is expected to begin in April 2026, with the first residents anticipated to move into their homes by November 2026.
The development forms part of the Barnsley West Masterplan, which aims to deliver around 1,700 new homes across the region as part of a wider strategy to support housing growth and community development.
Subject to planning approval, the project will be delivered by Avant Homes West Yorkshire.
