Staycity Group, in partnership with developer Citygrove, has finalised the acquisition of 202–208 Blackfriars Road in Southwark, paving the way for a landmark hospitality development in central London.
The scheme will see the creation of a 25-storey Wilde Aparthotel, offering 350 modern studios and one-bedroom apartments. Each unit will be fitted with a fully equipped kitchen, while the wider development will feature a 24-hour reception, lounge, bar, café and gym, designed to appeal to both business and leisure guests.
Citygrove will lead the planning and construction programme, with completion scheduled for 2030. The project, named Wilde Southwark, is set to become Staycity’s flagship property in the capital, strengthening the operator’s footprint in one of London’s most dynamic districts.
This marks the second joint venture between Staycity and Citygrove, following the acquisition of Wyvil Court in 2024. The partners said the Blackfriars Road project reflects their shared ambition to deliver high-quality, design-led hospitality developments across key European cities.
