Persimmon Homes has submitted proposals to Stockton Council for a 150-home development on land east of Buckthorn Crescent.

The scheme, put forward by Persimmon's Teesside division, would provide a mix of one to four-bedroom properties, including 11 bungalows. Around 20% of the homes would be designated as affordable, offered through a combination of affordable rent, discount open market value and first homes.

Alongside the new housing, the application includes provision for public open space, ponds, tree planting and measures to support wildlife, such as bird and bat boxes and dedicated Hedgehog Highways.
