Story Homes has submitted a full planning application to Cumberland Council for a residential development of 65 new homes in Houghton, Carlisle.

The scheme proposes a mix of two to six-bedroom properties, with 20% designated as affordable housing to support local housing needs. It follows the company's earlier Eden Gate development in Houghton, which delivered 99 homes.

The proposals include a central landscaped open space and a new equipped play area. The development will also integrate sustainable features such as EV charging points and photovoltaic solar panels, alongside a landscaping strategy to protect and enhance biodiversity.

A planning decision is anticipated by summer 2026.
