Avant Homes To Build 82 New Homes In Clifton Under £16.7m Deal With NCHA

Avant Homes has partnered with Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) to construct 82 new homes in Clifton following a £16.7 million agreement with the housing provider.

The deal marks Avant Homes' first collaboration with NCHA and forms part of a package of S106 and Homes England grant-funded affordable housing. It also represents another step forward in the housebuilder's multi-tenure strategy, which aims to increase housing supply by providing quality new homes for private sale, the private rental sector (PRS), and additional affordable housing.

Construction at Foxgrove Village is already underway, with the development set to feature two-, three-, and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached energy-efficient homes. The first properties are expected to be handed over to NCHA this summer, with all homes scheduled for completion by summer 2027.

Commenting on the partnership, Avant Homes' group head of affordable housing delivery, Phil Lacey, said: "We're very pleased to secure this first deal with NCHA to provide new affordable homes in Clifton for the people who need them the most.

"Foxgrove Village has proven hugely successful and NCHA’s practically designed, energy-efficient homes will further contribute to the growing and diverse community at the development.

"Our multi-tenure strategy is focused on delivering quality new homes for everyone and we look forward to continue working with NCHA on future deals as part of this commitment."

Avant Homes has a near-term pipeline of more than 1,000 affordable homes across 17 developments, alongside over 300 Section 106 affordable homes currently under construction. The company's new homes typically achieve an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of B or above, indicating excellent energy efficiency.

Nottingham-based Avant Homes East Midlands has live developments ranging from Mickleover to Deacon Meadows in Uppingham.
