Network Rail Wales and Borders will carry out significant refurbishment work on Coedtrehen Bridge, near Maesteg Road, over the August bank holiday weekend.
The project, running from 10pm on Friday 22 August until 5pm on Monday 25 August, will involve strengthening, painting and resurfacing the structure. Teams will be working continuously throughout the period to complete the improvements.
As part of the works, rail services between Bridgend and Maesteg will be suspended on Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August, with replacement bus services in operation.
Network Rail has urged passengers to check their travel plans in advance at www.nationalrail.co.uk.
